This week’s color Sunday post is a little different. Livvy30 has tagged me to enter the color contest on travelsupermarket.com. So I thought that this is perfect for me. I do color posts every week. But in this contest the limit is 5 colors. Blue, Red, White, Green and Yellow. And it turns out I actually never considered white in my usual color posts. Oh well, here are my selections:

Blue: This was taken last February from New Jersey. I just recently got this idea to try out HDR photography. So I couldn’t wait. The weather was freezing and my fingers were numb by the end. I took pictures until my battery died. But it was worth it I think.

Red: This was taken from the Highline looking over the river to Hoboken, New Jersey. It was a stunning sunset. Thankfully it was summer, so I didn’t have to worry about cold fingers. And the summer heat gave the sunset this nice glow.

White: This was taken in Dumbo this spring. Spring came pretty early and sudden this year in New York. So it almost felt surreal to walk through neighborhoods and see how everything comes to life from one day to the other.

Green: This was taken on a stroll through Williamsburg yesterday. This is not a neighborhood that I usually visit. So there were a lot of new things for me to take in. It is considered a new and trendy neighborhood and I definitely came across a lot of creative ideas.

Yellow: This was also taken in Williamsburg yesterday. This captures my impression of this neighborhood pretty good. It is an old part of the city that has its own texture and now got a new coat of paint. But you can’t quite cover it up. Not to get too philosophical here…
