park benches

This is the beginning of a series that I started to take. People relaxing on park benches. Enjoying the view of the city. It is hard to not have people in your pictures in New York. So you have to work with what you have/what they do and usually you have to wait for the right moment to kind of get them where you want them in your shots. People are part of the city life of course, so they have to be there. They just often don’t help your shots in a way you want.

But these benches on the promenade in Dumbo were perfect.

I wasn’t quite sure how to process them for a while, but I liked them best in black and white.

Numbers 1 and 5 are excellent. Very nice monochromes.
